Sierra Boyd received her B.S. in neuroscience and a minor in pharmacology and toxicology from Michigan State University. In 2019 she joined the pharmacology and toxicology PhD program with a dual major in environmental and integrative toxicological sciences. She is studying the role in which developmental exposures to neurotoxicants increase the risk of Parkinson’s disease using the alpha- synuclein pre-formed fibril model of synucleinopathy.
