Jared Lamp, Ph.D. has been the manager of the IMSU core facility at the GRRC since 2018. The IMSU is a mass spectrometry-based proteomics facility servicing the research needs of MSU faculty and the greater West Michigan area. Dr. Lamp received a B.S in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Notre Dame, with a focus on protein analysis by mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, and liquid chromatography separations. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IMSU while simultaneously working alongside customers to ensure timely sample processing with optimized method development.
