Jared Lamp, Ph.D. has served as the manager of the Integrated Mass Spectrometry Unit (IMSU) at the GRRC since 2018. The IMSU is a mass spectrometry-based proteomics facility that serves the research needs of Grand Rapids based MSU faculty alongside investigators in the greater West Michigan area. Dr. Lamp received a B.S in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University (2013) and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Notre Dame (2018), with a focus on protein analysis by mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis, and liquid chromatography separations. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IMSU while simultaneously working alongside customers to ensure timely sample processing with optimized method development.
