Isabel Johnson joined Michigan State University in 2021. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Calvin University in May of 2021. During undergrad Isabel worked in Dr. Baker and Dr. Wilstermann's lab where she studied protein biology in the context of rare genetic disease using a combination of in vivo techniques, bioinformatics, and molecular dynamics simulations. Outside the lab Isabel enjoys, backpacking, reading, photography, and a good cup of coffee.
