Brian Daley began working at MSU in 2010. He has a B.S. degree in Biotechnology from S.U.N.Y. Brockport. Mr. Daley has worked with Dr. Tim Collier for over 35 years and has been his lab manager for over 30. Dr. Collier and Mr. Daley started their careers at the University of Rochester where Tim was a post-doc and Brian was a recent college graduate. From Rochester they, along with their families, have migrated to Rush University in Chicago, the University of Cincinnati and finally to their forever home in Grand Rapids.
Brian's primary expertise is in small animal surgeries, collection and processing of rodent and non- human primate tissue and all aspects of histology. He most enjoys sharing the tricks of the trade he has learned in his 35 years as a neuroscientist with the other members of the Trans Neuro team as well as with outside investigators. Outside of the lab he enjoys restoring antique cars and taking long walks on the beach.
