Ahmed received his B.S. with Honors Cum Laude, 2017 in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology from Zewail City of Science and Technology, Egypt. Since then, Ahmed worked as a research assistant in Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation studying reactive oxygen species regulation in cardiomyocyte renewal. In 2020, Ahmed was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship and joined the Neuroscience program at MSU. He recently joined the Kanaan Lab where he will be studying tau protein-protein interactions. Away from the bench, Ahmed enjoys sports, hiking, travelling, and grabbing a cup of coffee with friends and family
