Patricia Muskus began her career at Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis in 2012, from where she graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience. While completing her degree, Ms. Muskus worked in a laboratory setting under Dr. Stephen Boehm studying alcohol addiction. Ms. Muskus worked on studies aimed at knockout Gabra2 expression in mouse models. She has experience with laboratory experimentation procedures including stereotaxic surgeries, tissue collection, and biospecimen sectioning procedures via cryostat. Ms. Muskus has experience aiding in biological processes such as qPCR, ELISA, and Western blots. After completing her degree, Ms. Muskus moved to Grand Rapids, MI to pursue the position of Clinical Research Coordinator for Dr. David Morgan in the Translational Neuroscience department with MSU. In her position, Ms. Muskus facilitates enrollment of the Hispanic community into clinical trials into the PACT clinical trial, aimed at preventing Alzheimer’s Disease via Cognitive Training.
