Ikenna Paschal Njoku joined Michigan State University in 2019 as a master's student intern before taking up a full-time position as a Research Assistant with Dr. Marcia Gordon Lab in 2020. Ikenna holds a BSc. In Science Laboratory Technology (with an emphasis in Biomedical Technology) from Delta State University Nigeria, and a Professional Science Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from Grand Valley State University Michigan.  He is skilled in gene expression analysis, cell-based assays, protein assay, computer-assisted image analysis, and data analysis. In his work, he applies a variety of cellular and molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA/Protein extraction, Cell culture, PCR, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry/FACS, and western blot. When he is not doing science, he enjoys volunteering, reading, playing soccer, board games, or having a good time cooking.
